Advanced Instrumentation Facility (AIF) is a specialized central research facility which houses about 12 advanced sophisticated state-of-the-art instruments for research in the areas of physical, environmental, biological, allied and inter-disciplinary sciences. In addition to the instrumentation, the AIF is also equipped with a dedicated state-of-the-art clean room facility with very low level of dust, airborne particles of Class 100 workbench and Class 1000 room area, for the initial handling and processing of the coastal marine samples. It caters to the multidisciplinary research focus of the different divisions at NCSCM viz, Futuristic Research Division (FTR), Coastal Environment Impact Assessment Division (CIA) and Conservation of Coastal and Marine Resources (CMR).
